Prohall Equalize Mask is a pH-balancing mask made in Brazil. Healthy hair sits at pH 4.5 to 5.5, where the cuticle scales lie flat, hair feels smooth, shines, and holds color. Color, bleach, pool water, and beach days push hair above that range, lifting the scales so hair feels rough, looks dull, and fades fast. Equalize brings the pH back down so the scales lie flat again, in 5 to 10 minutes after the treatment process, including after smoothing treatments like Select One or Burix One.
What's inside, and why: Lactic acid, the ingredient that does the balancing. Cupuaçu butter, from the Amazon, which holds several times its weight in water and locks moisture inside. Patauá oil, from an Amazon palm, for softness, shine, and movement. 18 amino acids, the same building blocks hair is made of, which condition weak, porous spots.
How to use it
- Wash and towel dry: hair should be damp, not dripping.
- Apply to lengths and ends: skip the roots. A walnut-size scoop is enough for shoulder-length hair.
- Wait 5 to 10 minutes: very dry or bleached hair should take the full 10. Longer doesn't help; the work is done by then.
- Rinse well with cool water, then style as usual.
When to use it: right after color or bleach (the most important moment, it helps seal color in). After keratin or hair botox, on the first wash after your stylist's no-wash window. After beach or pool days, rinse first, then apply. And 1 to 2 times a week whenever hair feels rough, dry, or frizzy.
FAQ
How often should I use it? 1 to 2 times a week, and always after color or bleach.
Will it wash out my keratin treatment? No. Smoothing treatments like an acidic environment, so Equalize helps the treatment hold.
Will it protect my color? Sealed hair holds color in; open hair lets it leak out. Equalize seals the cuticle back down.
Is this a protein treatment? No, it is a balancing treatment, a different job. Rotate it with your other masks: hydration one wash, protein another, Equalize after any chemical service.
How long does one jar last? About 2 to 3 months, used 1 to 2 times a week on medium to long hair.
Safety: external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool place away from sunlight and heat. Avoid eye contact; rinse with plenty of water if contact occurs. If irritation occurs, stop use and seek medical advice.
